Unarmed Forces Day is an initiative of Peace News, a London-based radical magazine. It is a celebration of the power of nonviolence, and a protest against an attempt by the British government to shore up support for its unpopular wars in Afghanistan and Iraq by rallying the British public around the armed forces.
Unarmed Forces Day and Armed Forces Day take place on 27 June.

Many a civilians are killed for no crime of theirs in this aggression on Afghanistan that breeds more hatred for the NATO forces. Joe Glenton the brave British soldier went to prison for opposes wars both on Iraq and Afghanistan and refused to be posted there again. Why does Britain and America do not learn from this and give up War for Peace? I cannot support you financially but will always stand for what I strongly believe in.
